Centro Astalli offers a variety of services for asylum-seekers and refugees, including:
- Legal assistance, including one-on-one counseling, accompaniment to the Questura, information about the asylum procedure, help preparing for the asylum interview, appeals on negative decisions
- Information about IOM's assisted voluntary return program
- Help getting and renewing documents, such as residence permits, driver's licenses, etc.
- Medical clinic offering primary care and specialist services, such as dental care, eye exams, treatment for respiratory illnesses, skin care, physical rehabilitation, medication, etc.
- Mental health care and counseling with a psychologist
- Referrals for other services
- Support for people who are or were in detention at the Piazza Lanza di Catania prison (i.e. clothing, information and library)
- Italian language classes
- Classes for learning how to read in Italian
- Help searching for a job, including CV writing, registering for vocational training courses and interview preparation

You do not need an appointment.
When you come the first time, you will have a short registration and get a registration card that you should bring with you for all Centro Astalli services.
The medical clinic, legal assistance and Italian classes are available Monday through Friday, from 4 - 7 p.m.
The job support is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4 - 7 p.m.
