Description
The Open Europe mobile unit offers support for migrants and asylum-seekers.
They provide information on your rights in Italy and Europe, including:
- International protection and the asylum procedure
- Rights and obligations within the reception system
- Rights of vulnerable individuals (children travelling on their own without their parents, pregnant women, new mothers, victims of human trafficking, victims of abuse)
- Fingerprinting, rejection and expulsion decrees (the '7-days paper') and appeals
- The Dublin Regulation
- Information on administrative procedures, such as renewals/conversion of your 'permesso di soggiorno', civil registration at the 'Anagrafe' office, etc.
The mobile unit also provides information and referrals for local services such as:
- Shelters and accommodation facilities, food, clothes, showers, psychological support, primary healthcare, etc.
- Referrals to the lawyer of Borderline Sicilia and to other legal help desks (please note that referrals to lawyers is done by the Oxfam Mobile Team after an individual interview and according to project criteria)
