Description

The community center is a help desk and meeting place, offering:

  • Information on your rights
  • Assistance with administrative procedures, including the 'permesso di soggiorno', family reunification, visas, Italian citizenship, travel documents, information about economic remittances, assisted voluntary return and reintegration, etc.
  • Information on accessing social and healthcare services, including how to get a 'tessera sanitaria', STP code, and 'codice fiscale'
  • Assistance with fiscal and social security procedures (INPS and CAF), including Bonus mamma, Bonus bebè, etc. 
  • One-on-one legal support and referrals for lawyers (asylum, procedures, preparing for your interview, Dublin cases, appeals of negative decisions, etc.)
  • Help finding overnight shelter or accommodation (depending on availability and eligibility)
  • Educational support, such as help getting your qualifications recognized, applying online for school, enrolling in literacy programs, enrolling in Italian language tests for the EC Permit for long-term residents, etc.
  • Help searching for a job, including writing a CV and motivation letter, preparing for job interviews, information about internships, scholarships, job training, etc.
